GQR 1 – Global Finalists of the Global Student Challenge 2022

The results of Global Qualification Round 1 (GQR 1) of The Global Student Challenge are in! 

The first Global Qualification Round of the Global Student Challenge was held from November 8 to December 5, 2021. During this online event, 24 teams from 20 different universities from around the globe, competed against each other by playing three rounds of The Fresh Connection. Only the top 30% of teams with the best-weighted score got the opportunity to continue to the Online Global Final which is taking place in May 2022.  

So, who are the first teams to qualify for the Global Final of the Global Student Challenge 2022? 

The Finalists of The Global Qualification Round One  

The first out of three Global Qualification Rounds has come to an end. The first batch of teams to qualify are a diverse group from 5 countries!  

  1. Team 20 – Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic 
  1. Team 1 – University of Vienna  
  1. Team 24 – University of Twente  
  1. Team 4 – University of Twente  
  1. Team 15 – IE Business School Madrid  
  1. Team 19 – University of Tennessee – Knoxville  
  1. Team 25 – OBS Business School

About the Global Student Challenge 

The Global Student Challenge is the #1 Student Competition in the world, which allows students to gain valuable knowledge, further develop their skills, expand their professional network, and much more. The Challenge pits teams from top business schools and universities from all over the globe against each other in the search for the world’s Top Talent in Supply Chain Management, – Finance, and circular economy. 

By participating in this Challenge, students experience the life of a Corporate Executive by running their own virtual company together with their team. 

Only 10% of the best-performing teams from curriculum courses get invited to one of the three Global Qualification Rounds. During these GQRs, teams from around the world compete against each other for a guaranteed spot in the Global Final where they will battle for the Champion title and EUR 10,000 in cash prizes!  

This will be an intense competition among the top value chain students around the world! 

Global Qualification Round Two is coming up! 

The next Global Qualification Round 2 (GQR 2 ) will kick off from January 17 to February 13, 2022. The best performing teams from a curriculum course will be automatically invited and will receive information in the game on how to join the Global Qualification Round.
