For the 2019 Finals of the 9th Global PRO Final of The Fresh Connection we chose the country where the Olympic Games originate from: Greece. In the welcoming and ancient city that is Athens our event team organized an international partner meeting, followed by a riveting Global Final.
The ninth edition of The Fresh Connection Global PRO Challenge included more than 1,000 participants, who were representing hundreds of companies and tens of countries. They first underwent public training sessions or remote training rounds. The greater majority then continued with the Global PRO Challenge rounds, hoping to qualify for the Global Final. 10 teams succeeded in reaching that goal and they subsequently joint us in Athens to compete for a prize and eternal glory.
Most teams had gone through their training rounds between September 2018 and April 2019. Across the globe, training rounds were delivered with the help of dedicated local partners, who provided remote and/or face-to-face workshops with The Fresh Connection simulation. Whether as a part of the Global PRO Challenge or in a stand alone session, the training rounds provide excellent training value to participating teams and individuals. These sessions are considered to be high quality in their own right. As an extra, for teams that so wished, they could continue training: first of all by taking part in the TFC Global PRO Challenge rounds between April 2019 and May 2019. Second, for the 10 teams that were the best of their country, a free trip to the TFC Global PRO Final in Athens, Greece on September 27, 2019. To top it off, a prize for the TFC Global PRO Final winner: an Executive Education SCM Course at MIT in Cambridge, MA, USA. And as said, eternal glory.
It took four breath-taking rounds, before it was known who was the winner of The Fresh Connection Global Final 2019. It is the team from Metro Supply Chain Group from Canada, that takes the crown! They have come out on top as the best team of all, and so they deserve the title of TFC Global PRO Final Champion 2019.
