The 2016 Finals of the 6th Global Final of The Fresh Connection went to the North American continent for the first time. To Miami, Florida to be precise. More than 1,000 participants, representing close to 300 companies from 30+ countries started out in training rounds. From there they went on to Global Challenge rounds to try and become their nations’ best team. 11 teams came out on top and were invited to come to Miami and compete on behalf of their country and company in the Global Final.
Already between September 2015 and April 2016 most of the participating teams started with the training rounds. They attended face-to-face workshops with The Fresh Connection simulation, workshops that were about major supply chain learning topics. Being high quality trainings in their own right, these workshops provided true learning value to any participating team. As extras, teams that performed exceptionally well, could continue training: first of all participation in the TFC Global Challenge rounds between April 2016 and June 2016. Second, for the 11 teams that were the best of their country, a free trip to the TFC Global Final in Miami, FL on September 22, 2016. And to top it off, a prize for the TFC Global Final winner: an SCM Executive Course at MIT in Boston, MA, USA.
After five exhilarating rounds, in which the top positions changed a number of times, the team from TCS (Pakistan) proved to be best team of all. They became TFC Global Final Champion of 2016 and they won the MIT prize.

We wholeheartedly thank all teams for being part of the TFC Global Challenge 2016. Without your efforts and perseverance, The Global Challenge would not have been possible. We hope to see all of you participating to become the 2017 Global Challenge Champion!
