Our online training session on CO2 footprint with The Fresh Connection dives into this topic. In this online training we aim to provide you with:

  • Cross-functional decision-making abilities
  • Insights into markets and warehouse footprint
  • An idea of expanding to export markets

The session is specially held for certified educators of The Fresh Connection who want to know more about the CO2 footprint variant. Participants will get the chance to play a few rounds with the CO2 footprint variant in The Fresh Connection which will enable them to ask more complex questions and go in-depth on the topic.

What is a CO2 footprint variant?

Greenhouse gas or CO2 emission is one of the major concerns of carbon footprint. According to UK Research and Innovation (sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)), the logistics industry is responsible for nearly 940 million tons of CO2 emissions annually. Storage and group shipments are often considered to emit maximum CO2. It is of high priority to understand the consequences of this kind of emission and to come up with ways to control them.

What is The Fresh Connection?

The Fresh Connection is an innovative web-based business simulation game. It engages participants in turning around the performance of a loss-making manufacturer of fruit juices. In teams of 4, participants will represent the functional roles of VP Purchasing, VP Operations, VP Supply Chain, and VP Sales. Participants will be confronted with various real-life, real-time dilemmas. Cross-functional understanding and collaboration are key components, as teams work together to turn the company around. It is also referred to as the Ultimate Value Chain Experience since it covers a wide range of topics relating to Value Chain Management.
